The Exodus
The departure of Israel from slavery in Egypt, including the plagues, the Passover, the crossing of the sea and the journey to Sinai. It becomes the defining memory of Israel's identity and the pattern for later language about rescue.
Remember: Rescue first, then law: they were freed before they were instructed.

The Babylonian Exile
The conquest of Judah by Babylon, the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 586 BC, and the deportation of much of its leadership. A return began under Persian rule after 539 BC. This is among the best attested events in the Hebrew Bible's history.
Remember: They lost land, temple and king — and discovered faith could survive without them.

Jesus' final days in Jerusalem
The last week of Jesus' life as the Gospels narrate it: the entry into Jerusalem, conflict in the temple courts, a final meal, arrest, trial before Jewish and Roman authorities, crucifixion, and — the Gospels testify — resurrection.
Remember: The week the servant teaching became the thing he actually did.
